Having a Vision

“An idol mind is a devil’s playground” These words have rung in my head for many years. I have to constantly remind myself to stay focused on God’s will, and his plan for my life & ministry. It is important that each and everyone of us as Christians continue to remind ourselves of this, because when we are not focused on Christ; satan has away of finding footholds & hurdles to trip us up. Many times satan finds ways of manipulating us to where we cause ourselves to hinder God’s ministry. Here is a prayer I want to encourage you to pray each day. I dont remember if it was something I heard or made up, but I know it has been affective.

“Lord, keep me in your will, so I dont get in your way.” – Amen

Isn’t it funny how sometimes we think we know whats best for our lives. We have always heard the saying “you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.” That is so true. My challenge for you is to remember to humble & submit yourself to God and his desires not our own. Seek his vision for your life & ministry. We all have a purpose and a ministry to serve in. Prayfully seek it.

One last thought.

I have never felt so naked until today. I was needing my Bible to do my evening Bible study when for some reason I could not find it. I started looking everywhere. I felt so helpless. I did finally find it. I must of knocked it off of the end table when I came home from Lifeway Bookstore. They had a big sale today so I came home with all kinds of goodies, and put them on the end table. They had to of knocked it off. It did encourage me though. It reminded me of my dependace upon God’s Word.
