Family Fun

Yesterday I took my son to Silver Dollar City for the first time, and we had a blast.  Kaleb was finally tall enough to ride some of the rides.  He smiled like I have never seen him smile before.  Katie and I laughed so hard at him it brought tears to our eyes.  He was so brave he rode everything he was tall enough to ride.  He even rode the scary Fire in the Hole, and loved it.  At one point in time we were riding the teacups, and we were spinning like crazy.  Kaleb’s face just lit up with joy, and then it slowly turned white, and then a light shade of green as his face turned from a smile to wide open like he was going to puke.  I quickly grabbed the wheel, and stopped it with all my might because I was not looking forward to being spewed all over.  Afterwards he still thought it was awesome, and was ready to go again.  There is something about just going in circles that doesn’t settle well with me.  I ride all the biggest rides, but even I get sick on the teacups.  Overall I wouldn’t trade that day for anything.  After Silver Dollar City we took him to see The Pierce Arrow Show, and I would highly recommend it.

It is very important that we remember to make time for family.  Many times we get so caught up in this fast paced world we end up neglecting them.  Love and cherish your family, because the time will soon come when memories will be the only thing that remains.
