Prophesy or in our case Evangelism.

Love

We should be motivated by love.  Isaiah was motivated by the love that he had experienced from God.

In Luke 19:10 & John 10:10 – Christ says that He has come to seek and save the lost, and to give them life and life to the full. 

We should be motivated to love because of Christ love for us. Since we have had the opportunity to experience His love, we have no excuse for not loving others.

  • Love is the greatest commandment.
  • Love is the greatest Fruit of the Spirit.
  • Love is what fulfills the great commission.

How? (2 Cor. 12:9)

In the power and strength of the Lord

Apostle Paul writes in his letter to the Corinthians, Christ speaking “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Paul goes on to state “that the power of Christ may rest upon me. The two words in this letter strength and power are the Greek word dunamis (doo’-nam-is) which means miraculous force, power, strength, and ability.

We should evangelize in the dunamis of Christ.

That’s A Wrap

Today our church did a free Christmas gift wrapping at Pinnacle Hills Promenade (Mall) as an outreach ministry, and we probably wrapped over 100 gifts.  It was really neat to give back to the community in this way.  Multiple people asked where are donation bucket was, and they were surprised when we told them that it was actually free, and we weren’ttrying to raise money.  Our culture today is so convinced that everyone is trying to profit in one way or another.  I even had one man who wanted to argue with me.  He couldn’t believe we were doing it for free.  So I said fine “We are convicted felons, and we are having to do community service.”  My wife wanted to kill me for that one.  The gentleman laughed, and proceeded to have us wrap his gifts.  Many people asked what organization we were with, and we had an excellent opportunity to share information about our church.  I was only there for about 3 hours, but it was time well spent.

Christmas is a time of giving.  Be sure to give this Holiday Season.

Gasoline H2O

I know I don’t have allot to be complaining about with fuel prices under $2.00 a gallon right now, however I have held to the same belief every since I was 16 and that belief is that we are being played like a bunch of children.  Right now we are celebrating how cheap gas is, but when you think about it; we are still being short changed.  The Oil Industry has a system in place.  What they do is crank the fuel prices up a little bit until we start complaining.  (For example $1.25 – $1.50)  Once we start complaining they jack it up to $2.20, and then they tell us we are having a shortage or something like that.  Then eventually they drop it back down to $1.50, and guess what.  No more complaining.  They have been doing this for years.  Anyways, that is my conspiracy theory, and I have absolutely no facts.  What I do know is that if this guy can make cars run on water then what in the world is the hold up?  Leave the ethanol alone, and let’s start looking at H2O. FREE GAS!! From H2O to HHO. Our country is dependant upon fuel. Just imagine if we could just use water. The government wont allow it due to the loss of tax income. That is another conspiracy theory in itself. All right I’m stepping off my soap box. Watch the video and enjoy.

2 Months and Going Strong

We have been offering free martial arts to the community for the last 2 months, and God has been blessing through it.  Children are memorizing scripture, learning discipline, and self control.  Tonight will be our first testing since we closed the school in Rogers.  I am very excited to see what our students have retained, and been able to apply.  This is a time where parents should be proud of their children.  The martial arts is a very thought provoking art which requires mental and physical strength.  Putting on that belt for the first time is a very rewarding moment especially for those who trained hard to obtain it.  Tonight students will demonstrate their abilities, and for those who succeed the honor is great.  We will have an awards ceremony 2 weeks from today, and students will be able to call themselves “Martial Artist”.  True martial artist are a rare breed.  Too many of our black belts are so caught up in the sport aspect as well as arrogant pride they lose focus of the true martial artist.  One who is humble, respectful, and at the same time proud of whom they have become.  A great deal of respect is due to those who have worked so hard to keep the martial arts an art.
